Zao Snow Monsters

Famous for its impressive snow monsters, Zao is one of the biggest ski resorts and a popular hot spring resort in Tohokou. It is located on top of Mt Jizo and is open to visitors during the coldest months (late December to mid-March). Skiing through the field of snow monsters is truly a unique experience.
