JR Gifu-Hashima station is easily accessible by Shinkansen (bullet train) from Nagoya (approx. 10 min.), Kyoto (approx. 30 min.), Osaka(approx. 50 min.) and Tokyo (approx. 2 hours)

【 Itinerary 】

8:30～9:00 transfer from Gifu-Hashima Station
9:00～11:30 forging the knife at the atelier
11:30～13:00 lunch at the smithy
13:00～15:00 shaping the knife at the atelier
15:00～16:00 completing the work
16:00～16:30 end of the activity and transfer to Gifu-Hashima station
* The workshop is available only on Friday & Saturday.
* The workshop is not available in January, February, September and October as the swordsmith is busy for his main work.

【 Conditions/Remarks 】

* The date for this workshop is on request basis. Please advise the date you’d like to have this workshop.
* It is private workshop for your party/family in general. When the swordsmith is already booked with another party on the day you have requested, we will ask a possibility for joining the party, if you wish.
* Participants is required to wear long sleeves top and long trousers of cotton material.
* Due to the nature of workshop, there is always a risk of being burned, so participants have to be very careful by themselves. We and the swordsmith do not have any responsibility in case of any injury during the workshop.
* The Swordsmith family will prepare lunch for you. Please let us know if you have food restrictions for health reasons, religion, etc.
* Number of ‘Lunch only’ companion should be less than workshop participants.
* Dietary requirement for lunch have to be advised in advance.
* Once the booking is confirmed, the following cancellation policy is applicable.
* Please make sure to keep the knife you made in your hold baggage due to the restrictions of carrying prohibited items on board.
The confirmed date – 10 working days prior to the service date ……… GBP30 per booking
– 9 working days prior to the service date or later, no-show ……… 100% of the total price
