Hirome Market is a food market with about 60 small shops including food stalls, souvenir shops, bars and grocery stores located about 10 min. walk from Kochi Castle. This is the best place to taste Kochi’s local specialities such as ‘Katsuo no warayaki tataki (Bonito roasting with straw), ‘Gyoza (grilled dumpling), ‘Utsubo (moray eel)’, and so on as well as wide variety of meat menus such as ‘Yakitori’ or ‘Karaage’ of Tosa-jiro chicken and Tosa beef steak. The table will be shared with others so don’t be shy and enjoy eat like a local!
